GODI is a technology innovation organization focused on the design and manufacturing of green energy storage solutions. At GODI, we recognize the rush to reach carbon-neutrality and all our efforts are focused on enabling that future, in the fastest and safest way possible.

The GODI team of scientists and engineers, with vast expertise in electrochemistry, material science, thermal engineering, and advanced manufacturing, are dedicated to the development of best-in-class batteries and supercapacitors that stretch from the pocket (electronic devices) to the rocket (satellite).

We have India’s largest R&D house in this domain and are the only organization in the country that is innovating across all verticals of energy storage. We are synthesizing novel materials with unique cell chemistries, designing battery and supercapacitor cells and packs, and developing cloud-based AI Energy Management Systems.

Our large-scale production facility is being conceived in a way fundamentally different from conventional manufacturing. With a high degree of automation and commitment to ethical and local sourcing of material, GODI will define the future for next-generation battery and supercapacitor technology.

Materials

BATTERY MATERIALS

At GODI, we are working on novel materials and new cell chemistries for next-generation batteries to bring down the cost per kWh by 25-35%. At the same time, we are committed to the ethical sourcing of materials, which have been extracted with minimal environmental impact

GODI focuses on engineering major components of the batteries: anode, cathode, and electrolyte to produce high energy/power density batteries. We produce new anode materials to improve cycle life and volumetric energy density of batteries; cathode materials for better specific energy and power; and electrolyte compositions for safe and wide temperature range operations of batteries including solid state electrolytes.

SUPERCAPACITOR MATERIALS

At GODI, we are working on the harvesting of carbon materials from abundantly available local resources to bring down the cost by 30% compared to the state-of-the-art materials.

We are engineering the high surface area porous carbon materials from bio-wastes with optimum pore size to increase the capacitance storage. Also, we are developing high voltage cells by employing an asymmetric configuration of carbon materials.

Products

Sustainable energy storage solutions are the idea behind the technological objectives we seek to fulfill. Apart from Li-ion cell manufacturing, we are developing commercially viable cathode and anode materials specific to Na-ion batteries and technology of anode-less ASSB and will be available soon.
